Growing up!

Emily's a Dancer!

Emily had both sets of grandparents and her mom and dad and brother
watching her at the Carpenter Auditorium at Cal State Long Beach as she
danced in three separate costumes. She was having lots of fun and all her
practicing paid off! Good job, Emily!

Summer in Tahoe 2011

Paul and I had lots of fun going to old haunts in Lake Tahoe (July 2011). Stayed at Fallen Leaf Lake and rode
our bikes all around historic sites in the area. Spent four days at Meek's Bay at the campground which is right on the
water... that was fun.. rode our bikes along the Truckee River to the "drop off" spot for the river rafters...Stopped at every
thrift shop, pawn shop, interesting curiousity shop along the way... that's always so much fun. We read lots of books,
were in the tent by 7:00 every night, and generally had a restful time... about 2 weeks worth!

Emily had just been swimming and was getting tired... but she
didn't go to sleep!

4th of July

Men's tricycle race... Laura G. organizes to perfection and
everyone had fun, including the men peddling as fast as they
could! Two little celebrators taking their dogs for a 4th of
July ride!

Chess and Cuddles

Aiden recently has learned to play Chess and he's good at it! He and Grandpa had a rip-roaring game going
and Emily was an onlooker... Grandpa won... this time... but Aiden give a good fight!

Emily also was a participant in the watermelon eating contest... she didn't get as into it as Aiden did ... didn't want to get dirty I guess...

What's 4th of July without pigging out on watermelon... Aiden participated in the contest and although he
didn't win, he had lots of fun... and got very sticky!

Two of four rabbits

We have a little family of rabbits who come to dine on our fresh green grass... they are getting bolder and bolder and there are more and more of them coming.. maybe it's because I'm setting out carrots and cabbage... after all, they're the only pets (other than the birds and lizards) that I have right now...
